Randstad has been engaged on an exclusive basis, to recruit a number of key vacancies for a global logistics and Distribution company entering the Australian market. We are actively seeking a Team Leader for our client's night shift operation at their flagship site in North Melbourne.
The Team Leader (TL) serves as the primary tactical lead for the floor.
The role is responsible for the real-time coordination of labor, equipment, and workflow to
ensure that customer orders are retrieved from inventory with maximum speed and accuracy.
The TL bridges the gap between high-level operational goals and the frontline execution of the
Associate team.

This fantastic opportunity will offer the successful candidate the chance to work in an environment where ongoing development is highly encouraged. You will play a vital role in supporting the senior leaders to meet the daily demands and ensuring that productivity of all teams are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Flow Management: Monitor real-time dashboards to ensure balanced throughput.
- Adjust labor allocation across picking stations to prevent bottlenecks a ensure a consistent "flow" to the packing department.
- Performance Coaching: Identify underperforming stations by analyzing time and Units Per Hour (UPH).
- Conduct "on-the-spot" coaching to resolve barriers and improve individual associate performance.
- System Troubleshooting: Act as the first point of contact for mechanical or software-based interruptions, including conveyor jams, robotic drive stalls, or scanner malfunctions.
- Safety and Compliance: Audit the work area for 5S standards and safety compliance.
- Shift Reporting and Analytics: Prepare end-of-shift reports (Bridges) that detail volume processed, safety incidents, and root-cause analysis for any missed Critical Pull Times (CPTs).
